Why I do Martial Arts

I started martial arts when I was seven years old, because a friend of mine had started doing it. I joined in for a class and realised that it was something I really enjoyed. Martial arts is now a hobby of mine and a really important part of my life. I love all of the skills it teaches me; not just physical but also mental. Martial arts has helped me build my confidence and taught me valuable life skills like patience and perseverance, as well as self defence. I also love martial arts because of all of the friends I have made, and how it feels like one big family.

Why I love teaching Martial Arts

I love teaching martial arts because I like building connections with the kids. It makes my day when I get to teach and see all of the kids having fun and learning. I like being able to share my knowledge, and help the kids learn and understand. I also love teaching because it helps me revise my own techniques, as well as helping me gain confidence.
